Artist-in-Residence Program

The Artist-in-Residence Program at SF Recycling & Disposal, Inc. is an innovative program that inspires and educates people about recycling and resource conservation by providing local artists with access to materials, a work space, and other resources at our Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Center. Art is created from what would have been sent to landfills across the Bay or to recycling plants across the nation.

Norcal Waste Systems, Inc. Wins State Waste Reduction Award

Each year California awards companies for their outstanding efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment. It's called the Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP), and is sponsored by the California Integrated Waste Management Board - the state's primary recycling agency and part of the Environmental Protection Agency. Norcal Waste Systems, Inc. has been recognized as a company that strives to reduce, reuse, recycle and buy recycle-content products as part of their environmentally preferable business practices.
